Lisbon a Fabulous Holiday Spot in Portugal

Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal and one of the world’s oldest cities. It is one of the major holiday destinations which attract millions of visitors every year and it is also known as the global city for its international trade, finance, tourism, entertainment and arts. It is also considered as the seventh most visited city in Southern Europe, after Istanbul, Rome, Athens, Milan, Madrid and Barcelona. 

It has a Subtropical Mediterranean climate.  It is years round destinations and March to May, September to October are considered as the best time to visit. Bairro Alto is famous for shopping and entertainment. It is considered as the heart of Portuguese nightlife. Belem is one of the most visited places in Lisbon, Torre de Belem is the most famous tower to be visited, Statue to Afonso de Albuquerque are some worth visiting. Chiado, Estrela, Alfama, Alcantara are some of the places to be visited.

Lisbon serves you wide varieties of cuisines, Caldo Verde, oysters, Bacalhau Natas, shrimp, and crabs are some of the favorite dishes where most of the Lisbon's restaurants will serve for tourists. Belem Tower is one of the World Heritage monuments and was built in Manueline style with many sculptures depicting historical figures and many more.calouste gulbenkian museums, parque das nacoes, Madre de Deus convent are some of the top destinations not to miss.
